Dummy Flight Ticket for Malta Student Visa – Itinerary from ₹699
Malta's study visa checklist from VFS India asks for a confirmed travel itinerary with dates, and a return flight only for courses under 91 days. A reservation fills that slot for ₹699 in India, with a checkable PNR. Be ready to buy a real ticket: the checklist warns one may be requested before the visa is issued.

What the official Malta study checklist says about flights
- Itinerary: the VFS Global Malta (India) study visa checklist lists a "confirmed travel itinerary with travel dates", with return flights only for courses shorter than 91 days. Source: VFS study visa checklist.
- After approval: the same checklist says a confirmed return flight ticket may be requested before the visa is issued.
- Insurance: cover valid for all Schengen states of at least €30,000, from one of the insurers recognised for Schengen in India.
- Money and fees: proof of funds for tuition and living costs, six months of bank statements and three years of ITRs; part or all of the tuition must be paid up front, on a sliding scale by course fee.
- Timing: VFS quotes 10 to 15 days to process a study visa and recommends applying at least four weeks before departure. Source: vfsglobal.com.
- After arrival: Identità says courses longer than 90 days generally need a study residence permit, applied for in Malta, not from abroad. The course must be MQF Level 5 or above at an MFHEA-licensed institution. Source: identita.gov.mt.
Last checked: October 2026. The VFS checklist is undated, so download the current version before your appointment.
One-way or return? It depends on course length
| Course | Itinerary to show | Later |
|---|---|---|
| English course of 8 to 12 weeks | Return reservation inside the course dates | Return ticket may be requested before issue |
| Diploma or degree, one year or longer | One-way arrival a few days before induction | Residence permit in Malta via Identità |
| Foundation year starting in February | One-way, timed to the acceptance letter | Same as above |
A February intake, worked through
Simran has an offer for a Level 6 business diploma in Msida starting 22 February 2027. Her acceptance letter shows the course dates and fees, and she has paid the deposit the checklist requires for her fee band.
- Early December: books the VFS appointment in Delhi, about eleven weeks ahead of the start date.
- Four days before the appointment: orders a one-way DEL–MLA reservation for 15 February, leaving a week to settle in before orientation.
- Appointment day: submits it with the insurance, ITRs and accommodation declaration.
- When VFS asks for a confirmed ticket: she buys the real fare, ideally with a date-change option in case of delays.
Where Malta student files go wrong
- Arrival date after the course start shown on the acceptance letter.
- A return flight on a two-year course, which makes no sense to the officer.
- Travel insurance that starts later than the reserved flight.
- Ignoring the post-approval ticket request and losing time when the visa is ready.
Line up accommodation and insurance with the arrival date
The checklist accepts either a confirmed hotel booking or a witnessed declaration of where you will stay, and waives this if your acceptance letter already includes housing. Whichever you use, it should start on or before the day your reserved flight lands at Luqa. Insurance has a separate trap: the visa needs Schengen-wide cover of at least €30,000, while Identità asks for €100,000 of health cover for the residence permit after arrival. Many students buy the visa policy first and upgrade once in Malta. Set the policy start to the reserved arrival date so nobody finds a gap of even one day.

What you receive
The same itinerary format the airline itself sends, with a six-character booking reference (PNR) that resolves on the airline's "Manage booking" page. Every reservation shows:
- Passenger names exactly as on the passport
- Airline, flight numbers, dates and times
- Live PNR / booking reference you can check yourself
- Departure and arrival airports
- Class of travel and baggage allowance

Why a live reservation beats a free "ticket generator"
A generated ticket has no PNR. A visa officer who checks it finds nothing, and a refusal for a false document is the hardest kind to appeal.

| PNR resolves on the airline website | Yes: a live reservation | No PNR | Yes |
