Dummy Ticket for Visa in Davao City: Visa Offices, Flight Wording and Routes for Mindanao Applicants

Davao residents can lodge Japanese and Italian visa files without leaving the city, and the UK runs a premium centre here on alternate Tuesdays. Most of these lists ask for an itinerary rather than a paid fare. Our held reservation with a live PNR costs $9 per person and reaches your inbox in roughly 10 minutes.

For years, a foreign visa meant a flight to Manila for most of Mindanao. That has changed. Japan upgraded its Davao office to a consulate-general, Italy opened a VFS counter at Felcris Centrale, and the UK added a premium desk at a Davao hotel. This page is for people who live in Davao City or elsewhere in Mindanao and apply from here: which office handles you, the exact flight wording each one uses, what the Bureau of Immigration checks when you leave from DVO, and how to order a reservation from us online. We have no Davao branch; everything happens by email.

Which visa offices can you use without leaving Davao?

Three, plus one part-time desk. Japan's consulate-general in Davao serves Mindanao, and ordinary Japanese applications now go through the JVAC network, which includes a Davao office.[1][2] Italy lists Davao among its four VFS centres in the country, alongside Taguig, Cebu and Batangas.[4] The UK's VFS premium application centre opens at the Dusit Thani Residence on alternate Tuesdays; it costs more than a standard centre, and VFS says choosing it has no effect on the decision.[6]

For most other countries, Davao residents travel. The Dutch accept Schengen files at VFS in Cebu or Makati,[8] Canada's official finder shows centres in Manila and Cebu,[10] and US visitor interviews happen at the embassy in Manila. Korea's consulate in Cebu limits itself to the 16 Visayas provinces,[13] so Mindanao applicants should confirm with the Korean Embassy where to file.

What does each checklist used in Davao say about flights?

When a document you are given demands a "confirmed" or "paid" seat, take that at face value: a seat on hold may fall short of that, and a cancellable ticket bought with a refund option is the safer move.

Japan from Mindanao: the Davao consulate-general's area

The Davao consulate-general handles 27 provinces, from Zamboanga del Norte across to the Surigao provinces and down to Sulu and Tawi-Tawi. The list also includes Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, the Davao provinces, South Cotabato, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Cotabato, Maguindanao and Basilan.[1] So a family in General Santos or a nurse in Cagayan de Oro deals with Davao, not Manila or Cebu.

The Japan tourism checklist is relaxed about flights. Item 9 wants your schedule of entry and departure with flight details "if possible", and adds that booking is not necessary; it says the same about hotels.[3] In other words, a reservation is a convenience, not a condition. We would only buy one if you want exact times written into the schedule, for instance a Davao to Manila to Tokyo routing that you intend to fly.

Our Japan visa guide walks through the remaining Japanese documents.

The UK premium centre in Davao: is it worth it?

VFS opened UK premium application centres in Metro Manila, Davao City and Cagayan de Oro, plus a mobile centre in Bataan, announced on 25 August 2026.[6] The Davao centre sits on the lower ground floor of the Dusit Thani Residence on Stella Hizon Reyes Drive and opens on alternate Tuesdays. Cagayan de Oro's opens on Thursdays at the Limketkai Luxe Hotel.[6]

Whether the premium fee is worth it depends on what a trip to a standard centre would cost you. For a family of four, flights to Manila for biometrics might cost more than the premium fee. For one person, it may not. Either way, the outcome is the same: VFS states that the decision is "the sole prerogative" of UK Visas and Immigration.[6]

On flights, the UK is the outlier. Home Office guidance files "flight bookings (unless transiting)" with the papers that add little to a visit application.[7] If you are not transiting, do not spend money on a reservation for a UK file. See our UK visa guide.

Italy in Davao, the Netherlands by travel

Italy. Since the Davao VFS centre takes Italian applications, it is the easiest Schengen route for Mindanao residents whose main stay is in Italy.[4] The tourist checklist asks for a copy of the travel itinerary, proof of accommodation, travel medical cover worth EUR 30,000 or more, and evidence of roots here such as PSA certificates or land titles.[5] The embassy also lets applicants walk in at any of its four VFS centres for an extra fee.[4]

Netherlands. Davao has no Dutch option, so you would submit at VFS in Cebu or Makati.[8] The tourism checklist accepts a booking that shows how you will reach Schengen and get home, and makes clear that nobody expects you to have paid for it yet.[9] Remember that your main destination decides which Schengen country you apply to; our Schengen guide explains the rule.

Visas that still need a trip out of Davao

United States. The embassy asks applicants to interview in their country of residence, which for Davao means Manila.[11] The State Department's line on flights is to wait for the visa before buying,[12] so you do not need any reservation for the interview. Our USA visa page goes into detail.

Canada. Biometrics are taken at the Cebu or Manila centre.[10] Many Davao families combine the trip with a visit to relatives. A reservation is optional for Canada; see the Canada visa guide.

Korea. The Cebu consulate's stated area is the Visayas only,[13] so check the Korean Embassy's instructions for Mindanao before you book a domestic flight anywhere.

What will the immigration officer at DVO ask for?

The departure rules matter more than any visa checklist on travel day. Under the Department of Justice's 2015 guidelines, a Filipino leaving as a tourist presents a valid passport, a visa where one is needed, and a "Round-trip or return ticket" at primary inspection.[14] Officers may refer travellers to secondary inspection after weighing age, education, financial capacity, travel history and destination.[14] A tougher 2023 version was deferred, and the Bureau of Immigration said the existing rules remain until further notice.[15]

The practical point: once your visa is granted, buy your real return ticket. Our reservation belongs in the visa file, not in front of the immigration officer at DVO or in Manila.

Flying out of DVO: routes that make sense on a reservation

Davao has fewer international links than Manila or Cebu, so most itineraries connect somewhere. Singapore Airlines sells Davao to Singapore on its own website,[16] which works as a gateway to Europe. Many Davao travellers also fly to Manila first; Singapore Airlines, for example, says it runs five nonstop Manila–Singapore flights a day.[17]

On a reservation, a Davao–Manila domestic sector followed by an international flight looks entirely ordinary. Choose the version you would really fly, because consular staff do compare dates across your documents.

Two Davao examples

A Tagum teacher heading to Osaka. Imagine a public school teacher in Tagum planning five days in Osaka during the summer break. Davao del Norte is in the Davao consulate's area, so she lodges at the JVAC in Davao.[1] Because the checklist says booking is not necessary, she writes her intended dates and a hotel name in the itinerary and buys nothing. If she preferred printed flight numbers, a reservation ordered two days before her slot would do the job.

A Matina couple visiting a daughter in Leeds. Now picture a retired couple from Matina visiting their daughter in England. They use the Davao premium centre on one of its Tuesdays.[6] GOV.UK treats flight bookings as unhelpful,[7] so they put their effort into bank records, pension papers and the daughter's invitation letter instead. No reservation needed.

Foreign nationals living in Davao

Davao has a sizeable community of foreign residents, including Japanese and Korean families, Indian traders and retirees from Europe and America. If that is you, the visa you need depends on your own passport, not on the Philippines. What the Davao address changes is where you may file.

Italy is explicit about this. Its checklist wants non-Filipinos to show an ACR I-Card still valid three months or more after the trip home from Europe.[5] The Dutch page likewise reserves Philippine filing for people who live in the Philippines.[8] In practice, bring your ACR I-Card and its copy to any appointment, and make sure it will not expire during the trip.

Your reservation should start where you will really begin the journey. For most foreign residents that is DVO. If you intend to visit your home country before Europe, show that order instead; a consistent story matters more than the shortest routing.

What to bring to a Davao appointment

  • A printed copy of the reservation, with all travellers' names readable on one page if possible.
  • The PNR and airline name jotted on your copy of the cover letter for quick reference.
  • Matching dates across the itinerary, hotel bookings, insurance and leave approval.

Recheck it on the carrier's site the night before your slot. A dropped hold or a retimed flight is easy to sort out then, and awkward to discover at the counter.

How Davao applicants order from us

  1. Confirm the office and checklist for your visa type.
  2. Enter your trip on our booking form, including any Davao–Manila domestic sector.
  3. Type each name exactly as in the passport, middle names included if they appear there.
  4. Pay by card, $9 for each person, on the Razorpay page. Multi-city pricing is on the price page.
  5. Download the PDF from our email, normally within about 10 minutes.
  6. Confirm it is real by entering the six-character code and your family name on the carrier's site; our checking guide has screenshots of the process.

Email slow to arrive? Your order's progress shows on the tracker.

How far ahead should Davao applicants order?

Close to the appointment, ideally within the same week. A reservation lasts up to 2 weeks, but the airline decides the actual period and some fares release seats sooner. If your appointment involves a domestic trip to Cebu or Manila, count from the appointment date, not from your departure from Davao.

What Davao applicants should avoid

  • Buying flights to Manila for a Japanese file. The Davao consulate area covers you, and the JVAC is in town.
  • Adding a flight booking to a UK file when you are not transiting.
  • Presenting a reservation at DVO immigration. Officers want a return ticket you have paid for.
  • A routing you would never fly, such as an odd connection that does not match your hotel dates.
  • Altered or generated PDFs. If the airline cannot find it, it should not be in your file.

Davao FAQ

Is DummyTicketPrice located in Davao?

No. We have no shop in Davao or anywhere else in Mindanao. Everything is done on our website: you enter the itinerary, settle $9 per head by card on the Razorpay page, and a PDF lands in your inbox, typically inside ten minutes. Any print shop near Felcris or the JVAC can print it.

I live in General Santos. Where do I apply for a Japan visa?

South Cotabato is one of the 27 Mindanao provinces covered by the Consulate-General of Japan in Davao, and the embassy lists a JVAC in Davao. You would normally lodge there rather than travel to Manila or Cebu. Check the JVAC's appointment rules first, as they set the days and documents.

Do I need a flight booking for the UK premium centre in Davao?

Usually not. The premium centre only collects your application and biometrics; UK Visas and Immigration decides. GOV.UK places flight bookings, unless you are transiting, among documents that are not useful for visitors. Put the hours into payslips, a job certificate and evidence that Davao is home.

Can I apply for a Dutch Schengen visa in Davao?

Not according to the official Netherlands page we checked in October 2026, which points Philippine residents to VFS in Cebu or Makati. If Italy is your main destination, the Italian VFS centre at Felcris Centrale in Davao is an alternative. Your main destination decides which country you apply to.

What ticket do I show when I leave from Davao airport?

Your real, paid return or round-trip ticket. The departure guidelines ask tourists for one at primary inspection. Our reservation is for visa applications only; it holds a seat without payment, so it cannot be used to check in, board or satisfy the immigration officer.

How long will my Davao reservation remain active?

No more than a fortnight, and the carrier can make it shorter. So we time orders for the final days before the slot. You can open the booking on the airline's website any time to see whether it is still live before your visit to the visa centre.

Keep in mind: no reservation guarantees a visa. Label it honestly as a reservation, match its dates to the rest of your papers, and leave the decision to the consulate.

Dummy ticket price for applicants in Philippines

If your phone number is a Philippines number (+63), a flight reservation costs $9 per passenger, one way or round trip. The price follows the country of your phone number, not where you are flying, so a Davao City applicant pays the same for Dubai, London or Toronto. Multi-city itineraries are priced per pair of flights and a hotel booking costs the same per stay.

Why a live reservation beats a free "ticket generator"

A generated ticket has no PNR. A visa officer who checks it finds nothing, and a refusal for a false document is the hardest kind to appeal.
