Dummy Flight Ticket for Italy Student Visa – One-Way, Live PNR
An Italian long-stay study (type D) visa from India needs a flight booking, but not a paid one: the Consulate General in Bengaluru asks for a one-way airline reservation and warns that the PNR will be verified. We issue that reservation with a live PNR for ₹699 per student, by email in about ten minutes.

The official requirements we found
The checklist below is the one the Consulate General of Italy in Bengaluru publishes through VFS Global for study (D) visas. It is labelled 2025–2026, so check for a newer edition before your appointment.
- Air ticket: “one-way airline ticket reservation” for a long-stay study visa, with the note that the PNR or booking reference will be verified.
- Admission: the admission letter plus the pre-enrolment summary from the Universitaly portal (where the institution requires it), which must not show the red “NON IMMATRICOLATO” status.
- Insurance: medical cover of at least €30,000, valid for the first six months in Italy.
- Processing: up to 90 days for a study national visa.
- Jurisdiction: Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry.

Why “will be verified” changes how you book
When a consulate says it will look the PNR up, the booking has to be findable on the airline's website at the moment someone checks. Two practical consequences follow.
- Book close to submission. Ordering the reservation weeks before your VFS slot wastes hold time. The hold window is shown before you pay; pick a moment that keeps the PNR active through your appointment.
- Keep the PDF and PNR identical. Never adjust the date or name on the document yourself. If anything is wrong, ask us for a corrected booking so that what the officer sees online matches the paper.
With processing of up to 90 days, a reservation may not stay live for the whole assessment. That is normal for any held booking. If the consulate asks for an updated itinerary later, order a fresh one with the same route.
Example: from Bengaluru to a Milan campus
Arjun has been admitted to a master's programme in Milan starting on 1 October. His Universitaly summary shows the pre-enrolment as accepted, and he has paid the enrolment fee from his own account so it appears on his statements.
- He books his VFS Bengaluru appointment in June, allowing for the 90-day processing note.
- Five days before the appointment he orders a one-way reservation BLR → MXP for 20 September, connecting wherever the airline routes him.
- He confirms the PNR on the operating airline's site and prints the PDF with the rest of his file.
- Total cost: ₹699. His friend from Kuwait, admitted to the same course, would pay KWD 2.75.
Errors that delay Italian study files
- Return ticket for a two-year degree. The checklist asks for one way. A return dated two years ahead adds nothing.
- Name differences. The checklist says that if your name differs between the passport and other documents, you need an attested and apostilled “One and the Same” certificate. Make the reservation match the passport, then deal with the other documents.
- Wrong consulate. Bengaluru only accepts applicants from its five states, unless you prove six months' residence there. Students elsewhere use the Italian office for their state.
- Arrival after classes begin. Choose a date shortly before the programme starts; a reservation for mid-October against a 1 October start invites questions.
Each reservation is emailed in about ten minutes, its PNR is visible on the carrier's booking-lookup page, and it is meant for visa paperwork only.
Italy study visa: reservation FAQs
01Does Italy require a paid flight ticket for a study visa from India?
The Bengaluru consulate's study (D) checklist asks for a one-way airline ticket reservation and says the PNR will be verified. It does not ask you to pay for the ticket.
02Should the reservation be one way or return?
One way. The study (D) checklist specifically asks for a one-way reservation for a long-stay study visa.
03What is the Universitaly summary and why does it matter?
It is the pre-enrolment record from the official Universitaly portal. The Bengaluru checklist asks for it where the institution requires it, and it must not show NON IMMATRICOLATO in red.
04What if my reservation expires while the visa is still processing?
Processing can take up to 90 days, longer than a held booking normally lasts. If the consulate asks for a current itinerary, order a fresh reservation on the same route.

Dummy ticket price by country
The price follows the country of your phone number, not the destination. One way and round trip cost the same; multi-city itineraries are priced per pair of flights and a hotel booking costs the same per stay.
| Phone number from | Flight reservation |
|---|---|
| India | ₹699 per passenger |
| United Arab Emirates | AED 33 per passenger |
| Saudi Arabia | SAR 34 per passenger |
| Qatar | QAR 33 per passenger |
| Oman | OMR 3.5 per passenger |
| Kuwait | KWD 2.75 per passenger |
| United States and Canada | $9 per passenger |
| United Kingdom | £7 per passenger |
| Everywhere else | $9 per passenger |
Paid through Razorpay by UPI, card or netbanking. The reservation is emailed in about 10 minutes and stays valid for up to 2 weeks; the airline decides the exact period, so book close to your appointment.
What you receive
The same itinerary format the airline itself sends, with a six-character booking reference (PNR) that resolves on the airline's "Manage booking" page. Every reservation shows:
- Passenger names exactly as on the passport
- Airline, flight numbers, dates and times
- Live PNR / booking reference you can check yourself
- Departure and arrival airports
- Class of travel and baggage allowance
Watch: how to book a dummy ticket
A short walkthrough of the booking page, 1 minute 23 seconds with voice-over: enter your route and passengers, pay, and receive your reservation with its PNR by email.
- Route and passengers. Choose one way, round trip or multi-city, pick the airports and dates, and enter names as on the passport.
- Pay. UPI, cards or netbanking through Razorpay.
- Receive your PNR. The reservation arrives by email in about 10 minutes.
Why a live reservation beats a free "ticket generator"
A generated ticket has no PNR. A visa officer who checks it finds nothing, and a refusal for a false document is the hardest kind to appeal.
| What the embassy checks | DummyTicketPrice | Free "ticket generator" | Buying a real ticket |
|---|---|---|---|
| PNR resolves on the airline website | Yes: a live reservation | No PNR | Yes |
| Cost per passenger | ₹699 / $9 | Free | The full fare at risk |
| Delivery | About 10 minutes by email | Instant | Instant |
| If the visa is refused | Only the ₹699 / $9 fee | Refusal for false documents | Cancellation fees |
| Order accuracy | Issued exactly as entered; check before paying | — | Change fees |
