How to Get a Dummy Ticket for Singapore Visa
The Singapore consulate in Mumbai does not list a flight ticket among visa documents, but ICA expects visitors to show proof of onward travel. A reservation with a live PNR covers the planning stage for ₹699 (or $9), emailed in about ten minutes. Buy a real ticket after approval.

What Singapore's ICA actually requires
Singapore is unusual: the visa form itself does not ask for a flight booking, yet the border rules expect you to prove you will leave. Here is what the official pages say.
- Visitors must hold a passport with at least six months' validity and should carry enough cash and "proof of onward travel (tickets, visas)". Source: ica.gov.sg, entering Singapore.
- Visa-required nationals apply through a Singapore Overseas Mission, an authorised visa agent appointed by a mission, or a local contact applying online with Singpass or Corppass. ICA does not take visa applications at immigration counters. Source: ica.gov.sg, visa requirements.
- The Consulate-General in Mumbai lists Form 14A, a colour photo taken within three months, a passport bio-page copy and Form V39A; no flight ticket appears on that list. Its fee is INR 2,100 from 1 January 2026 plus an INR 1,300 agent fee, with 3–5 working days' processing. Other missions charge differently. Source: mumbai.mfa.gov.sg.
- The SG Arrival Card is free and must be submitted within three days before arrival, counting the arrival day. Source: ica.gov.sg, SG Arrival Card.

So where does a flight reservation fit in?
Two places. First, the Mumbai consulate says further documents may be requested case by case, and an itinerary showing your intended dates is an easy one to have ready. Second, at Changi the immigration officer or your airline at check-in may want to see that you are leaving Singapore again, which is exactly the "proof of onward travel" ICA mentions.
For the first use, a held reservation is enough: it shows your plan without committing money before the e-visa is issued. For the second, once you actually travel you should be holding a real return or onward ticket, because a reservation cannot be used to board and may have lapsed by then.
How to get one, step by step
- Fix your dates with the agent. Ask which entry date they will put on the application, and match it.
- Book on our booking page. Choose your home airport to Singapore Changi (SIN) and back, or SIN onward to a third country if you are not returning home.
- Enter names exactly as in the passport. Agents compare spelling with Form 14A.
- Check the PNR. Your PDF lands in about ten minutes; look the booking up on the airline's "Manage booking" page.
- Hand it in with the rest of the file. After approval, buy your actual seats.
Example: a five-day Singapore trip from Mumbai
Priya plans Mumbai (BOM) to Singapore (SIN) on 6 December, returning on 11 December. Her agent will submit on 20 November. She orders a round-trip reservation on 18 November for ₹699, sends the PDF to the agent with her photo and Form 14A, and pays the consulate and agent fees separately. After the e-visa arrives she buys a return ticket on the same dates, and three days before landing she completes the free SG Arrival Card.
Price
₹699 per traveller when booked from India; $9 from other countries. One way or return costs the same. Hotel bookings are priced per stay, per traveller. You see the airline's hold window before you pay.
Avoidable mistakes on Singapore applications
- Paying a third-party website for the SG Arrival Card; ICA's own service is free.
- Assuming a reservation will satisfy check-in staff on travel day. Buy a ticket once approved.
- Sending dates to the agent that differ from the itinerary.
Singapore visa and flight booking FAQs
Does the Singapore visa application require a flight ticket?
The Mumbai consulate's document list does not name one, but authorised agents may ask for an itinerary, and ICA expects visitors to have proof of onward travel on arrival.
Where do I apply for a Singapore visa from India?
Through an authorised visa agent appointed by the Singapore mission, at the mission itself, or via a local contact in Singapore with Singpass or Corppass.
Can I show the reservation at Changi immigration?
Carry a real return or onward ticket when you travel. A reservation is for the application stage and cannot be used to check in.
Is the SG Arrival Card part of the visa?
No. It is a separate free online submission made within three days before you arrive, including the arrival day.

Dummy ticket price by country
The price follows the country of your phone number, not the destination. One way and round trip cost the same; multi-city itineraries are priced per pair of flights and a hotel booking costs the same per stay.
| Phone number from | Flight reservation |
|---|---|
| India | ₹699 per passenger |
| United Arab Emirates | AED 33 per passenger |
| Saudi Arabia | SAR 34 per passenger |
| Qatar | QAR 33 per passenger |
| Oman | OMR 3.5 per passenger |
| Kuwait | KWD 2.75 per passenger |
| United States and Canada | $9 per passenger |
| United Kingdom | £7 per passenger |
| Everywhere else | $9 per passenger |
Paid through Razorpay by UPI, card or netbanking. The reservation is emailed in about 10 minutes and stays valid for up to 2 weeks; the airline decides the exact period, so book close to your appointment.
What you receive
The same itinerary format the airline itself sends, with a six-character booking reference (PNR) that resolves on the airline's "Manage booking" page. Every reservation shows:
- Passenger names exactly as on the passport
- Airline, flight numbers, dates and times
- Live PNR / booking reference you can check yourself
- Departure and arrival airports
- Class of travel and baggage allowance
Watch: how to book a dummy ticket
A short walkthrough of the booking page, 1 minute 23 seconds with voice-over: enter your route and passengers, pay, and receive your reservation with its PNR by email.
- Route and passengers. Choose one way, round trip or multi-city, pick the airports and dates, and enter names as on the passport.
- Pay. UPI, cards or netbanking through Razorpay.
- Receive your PNR. The reservation arrives by email in about 10 minutes.
Why a live reservation beats a free "ticket generator"
A generated ticket has no PNR. A visa officer who checks it finds nothing, and a refusal for a false document is the hardest kind to appeal.
| What the embassy checks | DummyTicketPrice | Free "ticket generator" | Buying a real ticket |
