Dummy Flight Ticket for United Kingdom Visa from Delhi – Read This First

For a UK Standard Visitor visa you do not have to submit a flight booking: GOV.UK's supporting-documents guide treats flight bookings as less useful evidence, except for transit. If you still want a dated itinerary for planning, a leave application or a cover letter, we issue a DEL–LHR reservation with a live PNR for ₹699.

₹699per passenger · £7 if booking in the UK

What the UK government says, in plain terms

  • GOV.UK's guide to supporting documents for visit visas (updated 25 February 2026) lists hotel bookings and flight bookings, unless transiting, among documents that are less useful as evidence. It also reminds applicants to keep this in mind when making any bookings. Source: gov.uk supporting documents guide.
  • For transit, the same guide asks for evidence that your outward journey from the UK is confirmed and within 48 hours of arrival, such as a travel booking confirmation.
  • A Standard Visitor visa for up to six months costs £135. Applications open three months ahead of travel at the earliest, and decisions normally arrive within about three weeks. Source: gov.uk.
  • VFS Global handles UK visa appointments in India. Its May 2026 release lists twelve optional Premium Application Centres, including one in Noida, and confirms that standard centres carry no extra charge. Source: vfsglobal.com.

When a Delhi–London reservation is genuinely useful

  • Transit through the UK. GOV.UK asks for evidence of a confirmed onward journey; a reservation shows the connecting flights clearly, though a paid ticket may be needed when you actually travel.
  • Getting your dates straight. The online form asks when you plan to arrive and leave. A held itinerary keeps those dates realistic.
  • Employer or university leave. Some HR teams in Gurugram or Noida want flight dates before signing the leave letter you will submit.

What we do not recommend is buying a non-refundable fare before the decision. GOV.UK's own guide reminds applicants that no document guarantees a visa, and that is worth remembering before you spend money on flights.

Arjun from Dwarka uses this plan for his cousin's wedding in Leicester. His file focuses on what the UK does weigh heavily: employment, savings and the invitation, with the reservation only fixing the dates he enters on the form.

If your sponsor books from Britain

Sometimes the relative in Britain arranges the paperwork. A cousin in Leicester or Southall can order the reservation from the UK at £7 per passenger and have the PDF emailed to you. The passenger names must still match the Indian passports exactly, letter for letter.

Mistakes Delhi applicants make

  • Paying for a full fare before the decision, then losing money after a refusal.
  • Stating travel dates on the form that differ from the leave letter.
  • Assuming premium centres speed up the decision. VFS says they do not affect the outcome.
  • Showing Amritsar or Chandigarh as the origin when you will really fly from Delhi.
  • Leaving only a few days between the expected decision and your departure.

UK visa from Delhi: questions

Does UKVI require a flight ticket for a visit visa?

No. GOV.UK puts flight bookings, except for transit, on its list of less useful evidence for visits. A reservation is optional.

Should I buy my flight before the visa decision?

We would not buy a non-refundable fare. GOV.UK reminds applicants that documents do not guarantee approval, so hold a reservation and buy once the visa is granted.

Do I need a reservation if I am only transiting through London?

For transit, GOV.UK asks for evidence that your onward journey is confirmed and within 48 hours of arrival, so a booking confirmation for the connecting flight is relevant.

What does a Delhi to London reservation cost?

From India it is ₹699 per passenger, one way or round trip. Booked from the UK, the price is £7.

Dummy ticket price by country

The price follows the country of your phone number, not the destination. One way and round trip cost the same; multi-city itineraries are priced per pair of flights and a hotel booking costs the same per stay.

Watch: how to book a dummy ticket

A short walkthrough of the booking page, 1 minute 23 seconds with voice-over: enter your route and passengers, pay, and receive your reservation with its PNR by email.

  1. Route and passengers. Choose one way, round trip or multi-city, pick the airports and dates, and enter names as on the passport.
  2. Pay. UPI, cards or netbanking through Razorpay.
  3. Receive your PNR. The reservation arrives by email in about 10 minutes.

Why a live reservation beats a free "ticket generator"

A generated ticket has no PNR. A visa officer who checks it finds nothing, and a refusal for a false document is the hardest kind to appeal.
